The incident happened at 12.30pm this afternoon.

A MAN IN his 40s was attacked with a blade this afternoon by two men after he answered the door of his flat.

The man received facial injuries following the attack which occurred at the Michael Mallin House flats on Vicar Street in Dublin 8.

Gardaí are currently attempting to establish a motive for the attack.

The incident occurred at 12.30pm approx at Michael Mallin House, Vicar St, Dublin 8.  Gardaí are appealing for information or witnesses to Kevin St on 01 6669400, or garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
